Prof. Khaled ElShewy

I’m a professor of human parasitology with over 35 years of academic and research experience in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Canada, I bring extensive expertise in teaching, leadership, and human parasitology research. I hold an M.D. in Medical Parasitology from Suez Canal University and have served as professor since 2005, including roles as Department Chairman in Egypt and Acting Chairman at Helwan University. My international experience includes thirteen years at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia, and research training at the University of Alberta, Canada. I have taught across medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and applied sciences, while contributing to accreditation, curriculum development, and quality assurance. My research focuses on Cryptosporidium spp. and other opportunistic parasites, with special interest in immune-and molecular parasitology, and recent molecular diagnostic techniques of protozoan parasitic infections.
