Dr. Prasanta Kumar Koustasa Mishra

He has completed his B.V.Sc. & A.H. from the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, securing the distinction of Gold Medallist. He subsequently earned his M.V.Sc. in Animal Biochemistry and Ph.D. from the prestigious Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He served as an Assistant Professor at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for four years before joining the Department of Veterinary Biochemistry, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, OUAT, Bhubaneswar, where he is currently working as an Assistant Professor. With over seven years of experience in teaching and research, he has made significant contributions to the field of veterinary biochemistry. He has authored more than ten research papers published in reputed international journals and has successfully guided ten postgraduate research scholars. He has also served as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) in three externally funded research projects. In recognition of his innovative research, he was recently granted a patent for the development of a lateral flow assay device capable of simultaneously detecting antibodies against three different pathogens, highlighting his commitment to advancing diagnostic technologies in animal health.
